The Zoo

A couple of weeks ago, we were in St. Louis for the St. Louis Project (which is a mission trip for youth groups in which they put on VBS/bible clubs in inner-city or lower income areas).  Apart from the first couple of days, it was very mild July weather.  We took a day to go to the zoo....which apparently everyone else in St. Louis wanted to take advantage of the great weather too.  The zoo was packed!  We had fun with our friends, the Carsons, and Cooper loved getting to see all the animals.  It had been years since I had been to the St. Louis zoo and it did not disappoint.  We made sure to see animals that Cooper recognized and ones that were larger in size so he could find them in their cages.

Elephants!

Hudson spent a majority of the time sleeping

Waiting to get on the carousel with daddy!

Cooper had no desire to actually ride an animal. The bench it is.

"Bing turtles" as Cooper called them

Giraffe!

  2. Hopefully sometime soon! We are overdue for a trip down there. August is turning out to be pretty busy, but maybe sometime in September.
