Cooper's vocabulary

Cooper is quite the talker!  He has been talking for a while and knows a lot of words.  He knows most of the alphabet (can identify uppercase letters) and likes to try to sing his ABCs.  He counts to 13.  And just in the past 8 weeks or so, he has really began to string together multiple words and say phrases.  The main reason for this post is for me...to be able to look back and remember, specifically the way that he pronounces words incorrectly (that we think are adorable).

A lot of words that start with L, W, and Y get mixed around:
Lauder (water)
Wucky (yucky)
Wes (yes)
Hooway (hooray)
Gwasses (glasses)

He also pulls out words/phrases that he has heard and uses them in context:
Dewishus (delicious)
Goodness Gwayshus (goodness gracious)
Bine you (by you)
Bing one (big one--for a truck, piece of food, chair, and even said 'bing one' after a pretty big burp yesterday)
Checka brudder (check on brother)

Some words get 's' automatically added:
Sevens
Tens
Hudsons

And some words are just plain wrong:
Trahver (helicopter)
Manna (banana)
Cryning (crying)
Pagah (grandpa...which used to be said right, and then switched to pagah, and now there have been a few 'grandpa' again)
Buberries (blueberries or strawberries...although he clearly said strawberries yesterday when I acted like I didn't know what he was talking about)

For a while, the question, "what's your name?" was answered with "Hudsons". And sometimes that is still the case, but I think we have mostly corrected that, although now the answer is "it's Coopah". He will say Coopah without the "it's"...but he always answers that question that way.

Sometimes, Cooper gets stuck on repeat:
Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-do-dooooo
(cock-a-doodle-do)
What do-do-do-doing? (What are you doing?)
Where di-di-di-di-di go? (Where did it go?)

We love that he has began to attach names or adjectives to things:
I love you, daddy
Thank you, mama
A red car
Orange chair
Loud truck
Silly

He also is beginning to talk about emotions/feelings
Excited!
Sad
Hungry
I like it!
I want it
Try it
Yummy

If you made it through all of that...there is a reward of pictures!  Eric took these playing outside last night and we commented on how big he is.  We have a kid...not a baby.

We love you, little man!  You may wear me out with talking so much sometimes, but we love how smart and funny you are!
