Hudson- 9 months

Hudson is now 9 months old! (actually more like 9 1/2 months)

-Height and Weight: He didn't grow as much as we would have liked.  He weighs right around 15 pounds, is 26 3/4 inches, and his head is 44.7cm.
-He is still wearing a size 2 diaper and 6-9/9 month clothing. Most of his clothes seem to fit pretty good--not falling off of him, but still some room to grow.
-He still just has the two bottom teeth, which came in back in November.  I took him to the doctor back in February to make sure he didn't have an ear infection and our pediatrician commented that his four top teeth are all just sitting right under the gums.  He thought they would push through soon, but nothing yet!
-He takes 2-3 naps each day....once in the morning, once in the afternoon, and sometimes a cat nap in the evening.  He usually goes to bed sometime between 8-8:30pm and wakes up sometime between 7:30-8:00am.
-He is nursing four times a day (wake up, before lunch, late afternoon, and bedtime).  He eats food 3 times a day.  We started some finger foods (puffs) this month and he loves them!  He has the pincher move down and gets so excited when he sees the puffs container.  We've tried yogurt bites and mum mums, but those still gag him sometimes.  Our pediatrician told me that he can eat whatever, just as long as it's pre-chewed or mashed.  He said not to worry about fat (since he is so small), and to give him rich foods.
-Hudson is a crawler.  He is slow and steady, but gets where he wants to go.  He has also pulled up on my leg.
-Hudson loves to growl and talks about dadadadada all day long.  I'm not sure that he is associating it with Eric yet, but enjoys jabbering.  It's usually about "dadada and yayaya".  I use a little sign language with him, and he definitely understands "more" (especially in reference to puffs).  He has waved a little bit and loves to play peek-a-boo.  He also enjoys banging things together.  He loves bath time with brother and probably laughs most often at Cooper (or from being tickled!)
-And what do we still hear about all the time from people when we are out?!? ......the HAIR!

We are pressing on towards ONE.  Can you believe it?!  I guess I need to start planning a big birthday bash.  We love you Hudson and can't imagine our family without you!

And for comparison, here is Cooper at about the same age:

  1. He is adorable! That picture of him crying cracks me up! It is a talent to be so cute when you are clearly not at all happy. :)
